You are looking at a stunning black on black 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S with 104,657 original miles. The car lived most of its life in California and Georgia, and just now brought to the East Coast for your consideration.
The 993 C4S is iconic on so many levels you get everything the mid to high six-figure 993 Turbo gets minus the motor and whale tail wing, which includes the turbos red brake calipers and drilled rotors, heavy duty springs and sway bars, all wheel drive, automatic braking differential (ABD), a limited slip differential, all mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This is hands down the ultimate package.
This example is 1 of only 937 993 generation C4Ss that came to the United States. The spec on our car is really what sets this apart from the vast majority of 993 C4Ss. For starters, its the subtle notes take the European clear side markers that eliminate the U.S. spec amber lenses and the less than pleasing front bumperette trim, allowing the eye to admire the smooth, curvy, and beautiful lines and silhouette of this wide bodied beauty. You also have gorgeous forged HRE wheels finished in chrome and wrapped in fresh Hankook Ventus tires all around. Additionally, the car has clear bra on the entire front bumper and side view mirrors, as well as quarter length clear bra on both fenders and hood to protect the brilliant black paint. An original set of wheels & tires are available to replace the HRE wheels if preferred.
However the true value of this car lies in its ownership history to say the car was pampered would be an understatement. We have its full service history from birth in hand, as well as the original window sticker and build sheet/options list in a thick binder, passed down from the previous owners. No stone was left unturned and no corners were cut keeping this 993 C4S on the road. The interior is in great condition with no fading or cracks on the dash, and every component from the factory including the belly pan are all still there.
The original options/build list from 1997 on this car are as follows:
C02 Catalytic Converter
X54 Oval Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes
X70 Stainless Steel Threshold Panels w/C4S
X71 Aluminum Instrument Dials w/ Brushed Chrome Inner Rings

All of this begs the question, why pay thousands more for a lower mile garage queen that will most likely require future conditioning and maintenance when you can buy this ultimate drivers car for thousands less? If youre in the market with an itch for the nostalgic air-cooled Porsche experience and want something that you can drive without worry, this is your calling.
Heres an interesting read by Road & Track titled The Price of Rarely Driving a Porsche Thats Now a Collector Car that outlines the pros and cons of driving a low mile garage queen that rarely sees the light of day, versus daily driving a well cared for higher mile example:
